Waiheke Suburb - Ostend

Ostend on Waiheke Island was named after a city in Belgium. Ostend is a beautiful area on Waiheke Island that is both residential and industrial. Ostend contains the island’s only supermarket as well as most of the small industry factories and shops for the surrounding area. Ostend residents enjoy access to two reserves in the area: Tawaipareira Reserve and Te Toki Reserve. It also gives easy access to the coastline at Anzac Bay, which is popular for boating, fishing, swimming and other water sports.
