Casita Miro Restaurant on beautiful Waiheke Island is renowned for its ambiance, fine food and wines

We specialise in the cuisine of Spain and the wider Mediterranean Rim and take enormous pleasure in sharing our love for fine food, wine and sherry. Casita Miro is all about shared dining and our ‘tapas’ and ‘raciones’ (large plates) are perfect for a fun, relaxed and social dining experience.

Casita Miro has been winner or runner up for the last four years in the ‘Best Destination Restaurant’ category of Metro Magazine’s Top 50 Auckland Restaurants, the latest result being runner up in 2016. This year, Casita Miro was once again included in the acclaimed list of the 2017 Top 50 Auckland Restaurants. In addition, proprietor Cat Vosper won the title of ‘Restaurant Personality of the Year’ in 2011. Cat was also a finalist in the Lewisham Foundation’s ‘Outstanding Restaurateur’ category 2013.

The restaurant is a finalist in Cuisine magazines Good Food Awards for 2015 and winner of the Beef+Lamb Excellence Awards 2016 + 2017.

Miro Vineyard

Bond Estate is in the Onetangi wine-growing region and comprises the 4.2 hectare Miro Vineyard and the outstanding Tapas restaurant called Casita Miro. Miro is the closest vineyard to Onetangi Beach, a summer playground for holiday makers. Views from the vineyard are spectacular, looking out over the vines, the village and the sea. Grapes in the region ripen to a rare succulent intensity in the hot summer sun. The mineral rich soil provides the vines with flavour-enhancing elements. Red grapes such as Syrah and Bordeaux varietals are our focus here but we also grow beautiful Pinot Gris and a small amount of Viognier for blending with the Syrah.
