Over the next few weeks, I’ll delve into a few areas where it might help to have some insider opinion. But let’s start by getting someone to help plan your perfect day.
We have two to choose from (nice and easy). With two very distinct personalities and expertise.
First up: Waiheke Island Weddings and Events.
Jan Vernon is a friend of mine. Who I’d recommend in a heart beat. Totally organised, utterly professional. I imagine having her at the helm would be like having a security blanket wrapped around you. You’d have no stress. It’d all be on time, to budget, everything when and where it ought to be. She’s like that Jan. Dependable to the nth.
As Jan says herself: “I have first-hand experience of planning a wedding on Waiheke from afar – ten years ago, I got married on Waiheke Island while we were living in New York City and always wished I had a local wedding planner. After 13 years living overseas I returned to New Zealand on Waiheke with my family. I set up Waiheke Island Weddings and Events in 2007 based on my experience in project and event management in London. Sophia Hoadley is one of those people you instantly like. Uber cool, totally stylish. I imagine having her plan your wedding would be like having your best mate at your side. But best of all, it would be the most beautiful affair you’ve ever set eyes on. Like magazine beautiful.
