It’s Easter, which on Waiheke Island also means that it is the International Jazz Festival. The festival runs from the 29 to 31 March and promises 3 days of entertainment, good food and wine.
There is an impressive line-up of talent this year that includes Wellingtonian Iva Lamkum, Denmarks Dixieland Gypsy Band, and NZ’s Peter Urlich Sextet. Joining them are musicians from the States, Japan, Israel, Australia and the Pacific. The festival starts with the popular family-friendly Good Friday Groove 12-6pm at Rangihoua Estate, which opens with the Waiheke High School Jazz band.
