Little Oneroa, or Little ‘O’, as it is fondly referred to is a popular picturesque bay with a safe swimming beach and a good children’s playground.
With the store located across the road, it’s a very easy walk to go and get your ice cream. There is also a fish and chip shop located across the road. Other facilities include a gas BBQ, picnic tables, and public toilets.
Little O is within walking distance of Oneroa Village and there is also a bus stop conveniently located by the car-park. At low tide is it possible to walk around the rocks in between Little O and Oneroa Beach; there is also a track up over the hill, which takes you between the two beaches.
While Little O is a beautiful and safe beach it’s worth noting that the stream that discharges into the bay is not considered safe for swimming or playing in.
