Hooks Beach is at the east end of Surfdale Beach.
Hooks beach is shallow, calm, and quite picturesque, but shares the characteristics of Surfdale Beach – a muddy, tidal flat that can be prone to sea lice.
It is possible to swim at high tide at Hooks Beach, the water is shallow, warm and ideal for children. Hooks beach is one of the few that unleashed dogs are allowed on which makes it popular for dog owners.
Hooks Beach is accessible from Hooks Lane or during low tide it is possible to walk around the rocky out-crop that separates Hooks Beach from Surfdale Beach.
