Raymond Ramsay is a master of water colour and an accomplished artist in a range of other mediums with a professional career spanning over 50 years.
Waiheke artist Raymond S. Ramsay was born and educated in Auckland. Raymond is a Graduate of the Elam School of Art where he studied under the tuition of A.J.C Fisher, John Weeks, Lois White, and Ida Eise.
Inspired by New Zealand’s unique quality of light and dramatic landscapes, Raymond’s work captures the essence of New Zealand’s personality, landscape and history. Raymond’s work is represented all over the world and features in private collections in England, Ireland, Canada, the United States of America, Japan and Australia.
Raymond has had a life long connection with Waiheke Island and works from his studio in the hills above Palm Beach. A wide selection of work featuring local, national and international
subjects are available to view.
Tours of the studio are welcome but are by appointment only.
