Established in 2004 this unique Gallery is a showcase for my own work alongside that of selected New Zealand artisans. Surrounded by lush semi-tropical gardens it is a destination experience for lovers of innovative art and craft.
Contemporary Dollmaker and Mixed media artist Susan Carmont:
Coming from a family of artists & art teachers and after a career in the retail display & signwriting industry I had always had the dream to display and sell my own work in a unique environment.
In 2004 the dream became a reality when my husband Gus built me an art studio on our property. Surrounded by semi-exotic planting this unique space quickly evolved into The Nikau Art Gallery which has now become a destination place for visitors to the rural eastern end of Waiheke Island.
